About Me
I'm a second year Environmental Geoscience student currently studying at the University of Plymouth. I attribute my love for the environment to both my parents being scout leaders where camping and hiking was a regular occurrence leading to the outdoors becoming a second home to me. Whilst studying, I have developed key scientific skills that allow me to investigate areas of interest to a high quality. Such as working with certain software, using specific equipment and communicating science effectively.
Through my studies I have gained a keen interest in the environmental impacts of beaches, from coastal engineering, to the biodiversity that beaches create. As a child, sand dunes were always my favourite feature of a beach, as they were fun to hide and play in. But as my knowledge about them has increased, I find them now increasingly interesting because of the environmental impacts they provide to beaches, and their need for conservation.
